Registration has began for the 2007 Fifth Annual Metro Louisville Information Security Conference. This year the theme is: Attainable, Sustainable, Information Security. Our lunch-time keynote speaker is the world renowned information security expert Marcus Ranum. The breakfast keynote will be announced shortly. As in previous years there will be both business and technical breakout sessions.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
