Mail Abuse Prevention Organization stands up to giant Harris Interactive

Mail Abuse Prevention System, the Redwood City based anti-spam organization, says that it will vigorously defend the law suit filed by online market research giant Harris Interactive Inc. Harris has sued Microsoft and AOL, naming MAPS as a co-defendant, in an effort to force Microsoft and AOL to accept unsolicited bulk commercial email, also known as "spam", from Harris. MAPS maintains several databases which companies such as Microsoft's Hotmail use to help them manage the Internet email traffic which crosses their networks.
