McAfee Security Receives 'Best Buy' Award from SC Magazine
by Mirko Zorz - Tuesday, 14 January 2003.
McAfee Active Virus Defense Small Business Edition, a product of McAfee Security, won a five-star ranking and is the only vendor to receive the "Best Buy" award from SC Magazine.

In a comparative review of 12 anti-virus software suites suitable for small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs), McAfee Security's Active Virus Defense Small Business Edition exceeded anti-virus performance standards, scoring perfectly across all category criteria. This marks the fourth year that McAfee Security technology has outperformed the competition in anti-virus testing and has been awarded the highest ranking by SC Magazine. Results of this year's review are available here.

All anti-virus products were measured on features, ease of use, performance, documentation, support and value for money. When measured against the top sellers in the anti-virus for SMEs category, McAfee Security was the only vendor to receive the "Best Buy" label. According to SC Magazine, "McAfee Active Defense Small Business Edition offers the level of security required for the SME market without compromising on any of the vital areas of virus protection. It delivers a suite of products that enables the SMEs amongst us to manage, update, and police our systems before any damage is done."

Ryan McGee, director of product marketing for McAfee Security said: "Receiving SC Magazine's respected 'Best Buy' award for the fourth year is a testament of our dedication to providing customers of all sizes with cost-effective, high-performing anti-virus solutions."
