ServGate Announces EdgeForce Plus Security Appliance
by Berislav Kucan - Friday, 29 November 2002.
Few days ago, ServGate Technologies, Inc., announced the launch of the EdgeForce Plus, an integrated security appliance tailored for enterprises that rely on secure site-to-site and remote access connectivity for business success. The EdgeForce Plus is a high-performance, 3-port security appliance that integrates firewall, VPN, virus scanning, URL filtering and web caching to provide complete security solution for the enterprise.

EdgeForce Plus features ServGate's FlexModule system, which gives the IT manager a possibility of scaling the appliance in both features and performance with a simple software licensing system. While talking about virtual private networks, this device features a tuned encryption processor that significantly enhances the performance.

Dario Zamarian, ServGate's VP of Marketing and Business Development said: "Secure remote connectivity is a cornerstone of modern business. Organizations who effectively deploy and manage VPN technology have a clear and distinct advantage over those organizations who are late to adopt. The ServGate EdgeForce Plus was purpose-built to launch businesses into the world of secure remote connectivity, further adding to ServGate's value proposition of simplifying the deployment and management of multi-layer network security."
