Many signature-based technologies are not finding advanced threats, a lot of perimeter-based technologies fail to stop advanced attackers. In order to get ahead of the bad guys, we need to take advantage of data warehouses filled with information from a variety of systems. This is undoubtedly going to change the way we work with data within information security.

Chrome extension thwarts user profiling based on typing behavior

Infosec consultant Paul Moore came up with a working solution to thwart a type of behavioral profiling. The result is a Chrome extension called Keyboard Privacy, which prevents profiling of users by the way they type by randomizing the rate at which characters reach the DOM.
